The Volcanic and Magmatic Studies Group (VMSG) Annual Meeting will be hosted by the National Oceanography Centre, in collaboration with University of Southampton, at our waterfront campus in Southampton from Monday 5th January - Wednesday 7th January 2026. It has been more than 25 years since Southampton last hosted VMSG and we are excited to welcome all of you in 2026.
The VMSG Annual Meeting is the most important event in the VMSG calendar and provides an opportunity to share research in progress, meet with other researchers, peers and industry contacts, and develop future research directions. The oral and poster sessions provide a vibrant and friendly opportunity to share cutting edge research in all aspects of volcano science, and we particularly welcome contributions from early career researchers and practitioners. The venue is fully accessible.
