The Workshop is hosted by the National Centre for Coastal Autonomy at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), UK, which is close to the city centre with good transport links.

PML is located on The Hoe, close to the seafront and spectacular Plymouth Sound. It is also a short walk from the historic Barbican, Royal William Yard and the city centre. Plymouth also benefits from being close to the Dartmoor National Park and to the beaches of the north and south Devon and Cornwall coasts.

 

Getting there

By rail – There is a regular service direct from London Paddington which takes about 3.5 hours. Other direct services run from South Wales, the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. PML is a 20 minute walk from the train station or 8 minutes by taxi.

By road – The A38 Devon Expressway links Plymouth to the motorway network at Exeter, giving a drive time from London of around 4.5 hours.
