The Workshop is hosted by the National Centre for Coastal Autonomy at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), UK, which is close to the city centre with good transport links.

PML is located on The Hoe, close to the seafront and spectacular Plymouth Sound. It is also a short walk from the historic Barbican, Royal William Yard and the city centre. Plymouth also benefits from being close to the Dartmoor National Park and to the beaches of the north and south Devon and Cornwall coasts.
Getting there
By rail – There is a regular service direct from London Paddington which takes about 3.5 hours. Other direct services run from South Wales, the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. Paddington train station is also linked to the Eurostar terminal at London St Pancras International station via the London underground network, please see the Transport for London website for more information and a journey planner.
PML is a 20 minute walk from the train station or 8 minutes by taxi.
By road – The A38 Devon Expressway links Plymouth to the motorway network at Exeter, giving a drive time from London of around 4.5 hours.
Parking Information for Visitors
There is limited parking available at PML and this would need to be pre-booked through reception.

There is on-street public parking all the way along Prospect Place (shown on the image below)
directly outside of the Visitor pedestrian entrance. This is a very short walk from Reception
and there are always plenty of spaces available. Please have coins or the RingGo app installed on your phone if you wish to drive directly to the conference.
The carpark below is only a couple of blocks away from PML. This is reasonably priced. Please check their website for further information.
