Microplastics Symposium 2024

PerkinElmer Logo

We are pleased to announce details of our second Microplastics Symposium being held on the 13-14 November and hosted by the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton.
Following feedback from last year, we have extended it to a 2-day event which will include hands-on practical workshops in addition to plenary presentations and of course, plenty of networking time.

The symposium will bring together leading experts in microplastic contamination research to present the latest advances in detection and characterisation of microplastics in different environmental media and share new insights into the impacts of these contaminants on our health and the health of our planet.

The symposium will offer a unique opportunity to participate in a hands-on practical workshop focusing on effective methods for microplastic extraction from environmental samples, join a panel of experts to discuss various aspects of the plastic issue and to network and connect with people and organisations working in the field of plastic research.
