Explore the Ocean – Shape the Future

We are celebrating World Ocean Day with a webinar highlighting the many careers involved in Ocean Science, including an opportunity to hear from some people working in the field and to ask your questions.  The session will include some examples from the Liverpool City Region, where the National Oceanography Centre forms part of an innovation ecosystem delivering world-changing invention and applied science.

World Ocean Day is an opportunity to celebrate our one world ocean that connects us all! Whether you live on the coast or far inland, we all need a healthy ocean and a stable climate to survive and thrive. The ocean generates most of the oxygen we breathe, helps feed us, cleans the water we drink, and regulates our climate. By protecting our ocean, we also protect our climate, and our future.

This event is part of the Liverpool City Region (LCR) Innovation Investment Fortnight, an annual Combined Authority led showcase of the distinctive world-leading assets, partnership-driven approaches, and £2b investment opportunities that put the LCR at the forefront of UK place-based innovation. #LCRinnovation
